I'm ready for some excitement in my life! I want to try a whole bunch of things I've never tried before. I want to go on vacation somewhere that's completely different from what I'm used to. I feel like trying new food and doing some daring stunts like skydiving or deep sea diving. I want a change. Lately I've felt like I'm doing the same things over and over, and quite frankly I'm getting tired of it. It's not that I don't enjoy doing the things I do on a regular basis, but I feel like I may be taking advantage of it because I already know what's coming. I want a chance to miss my daily life. I'm always feeling like tomorrow is going to be something new and exciting, but I've been feeling like that for a very long time and nothing new seems to be coming. I'm eager to see what's around the corner(:
I really enjoyed podcasting. It was something different from what we normally do..and honestly I had no idea my voice sounded like that! Mrs.Sims you may have just kick-started my career in radio talk shows! haha!

Persuasive Techniques!
I think "#3 Appeal to the audience's emotions" is going to be the main part of my persuasive speech. This is saying that you need to be energetic and passionate about what you're saying. If you do not have a factor that keeps your audience interested, such as toying with their emotions, it will be as if you're not saying anything at all. You must make them hear you! If you have something that you truly care about this should be a piece of cake! I plan to make sure I use this technique by picking something that I can get in to. If you don't care about your topic how will you make other people care? Also, I will be enthusiastic when giving my speech. I will try to vary my voice to make things not so "blah". Get amped up for your speech like this little guy is!
p.s. Mrs. Sims, I found this video on YouTube too! In the beginning of this class I was very nervous to see what it would be like so I researched anything I could find about speeches online! haha! I'm such a worrier!

Shopping Carts Are Scary!
A funny thing happened last night.. I was injured and was not able to make it to karate. :( My mom and I made a quick run to Wal-Mart for some much needed groceries. We successfully managed to collect all of our (incredibly heavy) things we were running low on around the house and check out in under five hours! (: This is a huge accomplishment for my mom. So as we were struggling with our overflowing cart I must have gotten too close to the wheel of the cart. The cart slowly rolled over my pinky toe. The pain was...quite painful? Haha! But I didn't cry(: On our way home my mom grabbed a bag of frozen broccoli to place on my foot as she explained to me that she feared it was broken. I assured her it wasn't. Me and my toe are A-okay! No broken bones and as of today it is just red and puffy. The only thing broken is my heart from missing karate(:

A Stroke of Luck!
My truck absolutely hates me.... The windshield wipers only work when it isn't raining, my passenger side window doesn't open, the glove box doesn't stay shut, and the other day it even tried to take me hostage! My driver side door wouldn't open! I had to crawl out the passenger side! I've had some horrible luck... But a wonderful thing happened this morning! My passenger side window opened for the first time in months! My side windows were very foggy this morning and I couldn't see anything out of them. This became a problem as I attempted to pull out onto the highway... This was when I realized that my truck may hate me, but it doesn't want to kill me(: It was a miracle! I pressed the button and the window actually rolled down like it had for years in the past! After a little happy dance in the privacy of my vehicle I successfully pulled out onto the road without any problems at all!

Bottle it up!
Do you ever notice how your mood varies each day? One day you could be completely enthusiastic about life and the next you're just down in the dumps! I've often wanted to somehow bottle up that enthusiasm and keep it for a rainy day. How could you do that? Is there something that can always get you in a great mood? Try using that as your "enthusiasm bottle"! It works for a while, then you have to switch it up. You'll get used to having that something that gets you excited and take it for granted. That's easy to do.. The way to prevent that from happening? Try something new each day and make it a great day(:
